Maya Pedal, Agrapto, and Riseup are transforming the lives of women and girls from various communities including San Andrés Itzapa, Chimixaya de San José Poaquil.  For its part, Maya Pedal provides a variety of bicycle powered machines to reduce subsistance labor and thereby raise incomes. Agrapto womens co-op markets and sells native plant products and typical fabric products and jewelry.  Simply put, less time on farm labor helps boys and girls find time for school.  Educated kids make more money and better educated families stay together.
